This movie really puts in perspective how terrifying cavalry charges can be.
I like this film but Timothy looks like he weighs 8 stone and can barely lift his hammer; not quite the image of a warrior king.
the English longbowmen are legendary, and with good reason: a longbow needed a draw weight of 100 pounds (more than double that of an Olympian athlete), 250 yards range, could penetrate chainmail and impale both men and horses (at the same time) and even four fingers thick reinforced doors. Imagine these weapons in the hands of expert archers shooting an endless rainfall of arrows and you bet any army woulda been in serious trouble

the dauphin was literally just defending his homeland against unprovoked invading marauders and this movie is a tragedy about a vicious evil barbarian king who wins and kills the hero

A beautiful battle scene. Not seen the likes of this ever. Would have loved to see more action scenes of the men at arms and archers though which actually made this win happen.
The decision not to duel him isn't just because Pattinson cuts such a pathetic figure as he attempts to fight but more so because Chalamet understands he doesn't have to do anything further to win the respect of his men.
The epic fake battle of a english king who not at all a very bad guy and who dont look bad at all because he did not at all take a arrow in his face
